The Lamp
Created by Enea Ferrari in 1970, the Toucan lamp was the first children's lamp made from polypropylene Moplen. Its linear, colorful design inspired by a toucan captured children's interest. Initially marketed as Old Timer Ferrari, it was renamed Cocorì under the Linea Zero brand in 1973. After global success in the 70s, production ceased. Recently, it has become sought-after among vintage enthusiasts. In 2024, a collaboration between Linea Zero and Supreme led to a modernized re-release, featuring integrated LED, USB-C power, and touch activation.
Linea Zero, founded in 1973 by Enea Ferrari, has its roots in Italian creativity and innovation. Ferrari, born in 1938, transformed his previous company, Old Timer Ferrari, into a brand specialized in lighting. The evolution of Linea Zero reflects its founder’s vision: from the first children's lamps to today’s contemporary designs. The company has continuously innovated, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern technologies.
Made in Italy is at the heart of Linea Zero's philosophy, ensuring meticulous control over every stage of production. This commitment to quality and innovation has shaped the brand’s identity over the decades.
Today, Linea Zero continues to honor Ferrari’s legacy, who passed away in 2020, by creating lamps that combine functionality with aesthetics. Each product embodies the history of creativity and excellence that has defined the company since its inception.
